The successful candidate will join a Group Technology team that delivers the day-to-day maintenance and management of the IT infrastructure to ensure delivery of the agreed level of IT services to the business.

*IT Operations is responsible for the smooth functioning of the infrastructure and operational environments that support application deployment to internal and external customers, including the compute, network, security & storage infrastructure.
*IT Operations management is the process of managing the day-to-day IT infrastructure including managing the provisioning, capacity, performance and availability of the computing, networking, security and application environment.
*IT Operations delivers the Infrastructure Project Change portfolio. The provision of quality Project Management services to support the Infrastructure change agenda for the bank's business units and customers, in response to business or operational requirements.
The Unix/Linux engineer will be responsible for working with Group Technology teams & partners to manage functioning of the infrastructure and operational environments that support application deployment to internal and external customers.
They will be responsible for insuring alignment of control framework to maintain and control the server farm, both virtual & physical.
They will be responsible for monitoring the environment and building out additional requirements to support the business requirements.
For the present role, we require 1-3 years' experience in any Unix/Linux Administration role, with strong exposure to Oracle DB.
