Technical Quality Professional- FMCG- Dublin

Job purpose:

The technical professional is a key technical resource for contract manufacturing, primarily focusing on supplier management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier management (including service providers) - document completion & review (i.e. supplier approval questionnaires, HACCP, certification, product specifications, approved supplier list, product list etc)
  • Key user of Supplier Portal (on line system for supplier approval documentation, product specifications etc)
  • Supplier performance review and completion of supplier scorecards
  • Performance management of amber and red flagged suppliers
  • Attend supplier meetings, site visits, production runs
  • Conduct supplier site audits and close out of audit actions
  • Manage supplier site audits and close out of audit actions (when conducted by contract auditor or customer/retailer)
  • Investigation of non-conformances & corrective actions. Issue & close out supplier notifications.
  • Stock management on warehouse ERP system - hold and release of stock, product data entry etc
  • Stock inspection in the warehouse
  • Completion of customer documentation e.g. product set up forms, specifications, questionnaires
  • Completion of internal audits
  • Product traceability
  • Product withdrawals & recalls
  • Attendance/participation in audits conducted on our site
  • Relief quality administration work e.g. issue quality reports, customer complaint investigation,
  • Product benchmarking etc
  • Ensure Quality KPIs are achieved and maintained
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with people across the organization; particularly procurement, operations, category and supply chain departments.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in an accredited food production facility or a warehouse distributing food products.
  • 3rd level qualification in Food Science or a related discipline
  • Strong I.T. capability in particular ERP and on-line portal skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Ability to communicate at all levels and develop relationships with key stakeholders
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and also as part of a team
  • Travel will be required from time to time both within and outside of Ireland
