Morgan McKinley are representing an established telecommunications company, to recruit a Tax & Treasury Analyst for their Finance team in Dublin.

Reporting directly to the Tax & Treasury Manager, the Tax & Treasury Analyst will be responsible for providing support and technical advice to the Finance Department.

  • Tax: Ensuring compliance across the group's entities with corporation tax obligations and provision of tax advice to key stakeholders.
  • Treasury: Ongoing management of cash deposits and plan availability of funds required in a timely manner. Preparation of weekly cash flow forecasts for review with Tax & Treasury Manager and Group Finance Director.

This is a perfect opportunity for a qualified tax consultant, with 0-2 years PQE, to gain valuable industry experience in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be AITI/ACA qualified, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a corporate tax setting. Big 4/Top 10 experience is preferable.

Tax

  • Preparation of Corporation Tax Balance Sheet Control Logs and review of VAT BSCLs.
  • Advice to the business on areas such as Relevant Contracts Tax, Payroll queries such as Benefit-in-kind, Capital Gains Tax etc as required.
  • Ongoing support to the VAT Manager as necessary.
  • Provide updates on changes in tax legislation, as appropriate.
  • Preparation of draft FY19 current and deferred corporation tax calculations for inclusion in FY19 financial statements
  • Preparation of quarterly current and deferred corporation tax calculations for inclusion in quarterly accounts.
  • Arrange payment of 1st instalment of preliminary corporation tax for the year ended 30 June 2020.
  • Preparation of final version of corporation tax returns for the year ended 30 June 2019 and payment of final corporation tax liability in respect of this period.
  • Collation of information for Country by Country filing requirements for the year ended 30 June 2019.
  • Ensuring that RCT returns are filed and payments made to Revenue in a timely manner.
  • Review of new Supplier set-ups with a view to determining their RCT/PAYE status.

Treasury

  • Ongoing management of cash deposits and operational funds held with banking partners. Plan availability of funds in a timely manner in order to satisfy payment obligations of the Group, as required.
  • Ongoing maintenance of banking documentation and support to the Banking Unit, as required.
  • Preparation of weekly Cash Flow Forecasts for discussion with Tax & Treasury Manager and Group Finance Director.
  • Provide input to the preparation of long-term Cash Flow forecasts.
  • Ensure adherence to the Group Treasury policy and explore opportunities around cash protection.
  • Management of commercial relationship with external banking partners.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Meet current and deferred tax reporting deadlines on a quarterly basis.
  • Ensure corporation tax obligations with Revenue are met on a timely basis.
  • Ensure availability of funds as required.
  • Accuracy of Cash Flow forecasts.
  • Management of cash deposits so that they are utilised in the most efficient manner.
