A large Irish Food Wholesaler with international operations, require a Supply Chain Quality Manager to manage food safety compliance within the Supply Chain operation at their base in Dublin and associated Depots.

You will manage the food safety compliance in the supply chain operation based in Dublin and associated depots and Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with current legislation, and customer codes of practice.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure procedures outlined in the QMS are adhered to, and food safety records, KPIs and risk assessments are completed as required
  • Technical SME and POC for both external and internal auditors
  • Design and manage the implementation of the audit processes to ensure full compliance across the network. Ensuring agreed audit schedules are adhered to.
  • Co-ordinate plans for the close out and resolution of these AFI's and compile reports for actioning
  • Verification of Pre-requisite Programmes, HACCP & Policies to a defined schedule
  • Liaise with HR and supply chain team management on Food Safety training requirements.
  • Work on required projects with the Quality Team to improve and drive the Quality initiatives within the business.

 

Required skills & Education:

  • Degree in Food Science or relevant field
  • 5+ years in Food Technical Role
  • Proven track record in managing food safety and compliance in a retail / manufacturing environment
  • Strong experience in food production, and distribution.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP
  • Background in implementing and managing QMS and a good working knowledge of a GFSI standard
  • Food Safety Auditing experience

 

 

Skills:

  • Ability to influence key decisions
  • Full Clean Driving licence
