IT Operations Lead - Permanent based in Waterford
A great role has come in with a reputable company based in Waterford. They are looking to add a senior Operations IT Lead to join their company - someone who can hit the ground running offering value to the company.
WHAT WILL THE RIGHT PERSON LOOK LIKE?
The ideal candidate for this role will be proactive and confident at setting up new systems right from scratch while also contributing to the implementation of new solutions and migrations.
You will have experience of working within a GMP lab environment including a good understanding of regulatory requirements for IT systems within this. You will have had exposure to NetApp and VMware with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Acting as technical Lead for new transitions and projects through project changes - this includes managing the local teams
Provide 2nd and 3rd Support to users but also act as an escalation point for multiple teams within the business
Carry out the movement of multiple servers to a Data Centre and perform on site and remote technical support for both UK and Ireland businesses.
Perform IT Commissioning activities related with GxP Lab Instruments, set-up new user accounts, review accounts, administration accounts on QC instruments.
You will act as site Administrator for QC instruments
Take responsibility for IT Quality events identified from internal & external Audits, adhering to agreed quality timelines.
Verify integrity and availability of all hardware - co-ordination of WAN connectivity with all vendors
Perform daily backup operations (where applicable) and ensure integrity of backup media and media is hosted off-site;
Plan for new or upgrade of networking infrastructure; server/data storage migration. WAN connectivity to their domain.
Work closely with / or act as the Project Manager (depending on size of acquisition) to, ensure all tasks are identified and that each task has realistic timelines allocated to it.
Partake in any developmental training as required in compliance with the company standard.
Occasional visits to remote sites, or as part of a monthly schedule to partake in local management meetings to better understand and serve the business
Liaise with Network/Server responsible staff in other regions.
