Reporting to Senior Management and working within a well-established Design Team, as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer you will gain exceptional experience within a forward-thinking Heavy Industrial Engineering company.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to take the next step in their own career and move into a challenging but rewarding new position. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be tasked with having much responsibility within developing mechanical 3D designs through Pro-E Creo for a range of existing and new products being introduced into the market.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all work is carried out in an efficient and effective manner
  • Design bespoke large mechanical component and assemblies through Pro-E Creo
  • Manage entire projects from conceptualisation stage all the way to manufacturing
  • Design of structural steel component as part of the overall Mechanical Design process
  • Design review process, product integrations, product and process value engineering
  • Manage multiple project simultaneously liaising with clients and end-users
  • Creating BOM's (Bill of Materials) and procurement of materials for each project involved within.

About the Person

For this position only Mechanical Design Engineers with a 3rd level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or similar related discipline will be considered. The successful candidate will also need between 3-5 years post grad experience within a Design related role, ideally focusing within the areas of Precision Engineering, Heavy Industry or Automotive. Pro-E Creo experience is also beneficial but not essential.

Prior exposure to managing projects from start to finish is highly advantageous. The successful candidate will also need to be an effective communicator, strong problem solver and a team player.
