Sales and Marketing Manager - Government contracts

Morgan McKinley are recruiting for a leading technology provider of Transport solutions.

The role:

  • Proactively develop a business development and sales plan to identify, assess and propose solutions to our target market
  • Develop strong relationships to explore with key stakeholders their strategy to identify areas for new business development and sales
  • Develop marketing activity in conjunction with the marketing function to support sales and business development in Ireland
  • Provide direction to CEO and Senior Management Team on best tender contract structure, terms & conditions and ensures effective management of the overall contract during contractual performance.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations on contract terms & conditions for all tenders and new business proposals aligned with the Group strategy.
  • Provide business oversight in preparation of proposal responses in line with internal review processes for key strategic initiatives with State and Local Authority bodies.
  • Perform contract negotiations with the customer and supports Contracts leadership during higher level negotiations and contract definition.
  • Upselling to existing clients and enhancing existing business relationships.
  • Identifying new opportunities and business with transport authorities and stakeholders in the Irish Transport and mobility landscape
  • Deliver and management of the Sales Strategy for Bundled Projects (Operations focused project with technology support)
  • Delivery of Services focussing on Technology as a major contributor to the end service.
  • Project Size - Medium size business opportunities.

The person:

  • Degree in an associated discipline required (or equivalent in experience and education).
  • Master's Degree in business, economics or related field
  • Subject Matter Expert to include areas such as, but not limited to the following: state/government tender applications and processes, contract modifications, contract compliance, contract requirements, contract changes, proposal preparation, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and contract negotiations.
  • Must have hands on experience in dealing with the sales and marketing cycles of Government and Local Government contract awards.
  • Professional Services Sales Experience with Minimum 10 years of experience within either Government or Private industry with an emphasis in tender management, contract negotiation, contract placement and contract/services management.
