FMCG industry seeks experienced Quality Officer

I am delighted to be working once again with a house-hold name within the FMCG industry. They are looking for a Quality Officer to join their team on site. This is a fast-paced, quick thinking environment so experience within QA and food manufacturing is a pre-requisite for this role.

The QA Officer will be responsible for maintaining and managing defined elements of the quality assurance program for the site to ensure compliance with internal standards, food safety standards and customer requirements. The QA Officer is a key support role to the site QA Manager and is recognised as a key player within the site team. The key role of the Quality officer is to monitor compliance, report on metrics and improve the QMS system to meet the requirements of FSSC 22000

These are the core responsibilities associated with your role for which you will be held accountable:

  • Develop policies and procedures and risk assessments to meet the requirements of FSSC 22000, including HACCP and maintain in electronic format.
  • Co-ordinate the site audit plan and report on the close out rate for non-conformances.
  • Document sampling and testing plans for the site.
  • In conjunction with site QA Manager - lead and facilitate customer and regulatory audits.
  • Conduct internal audits as applicable
  • Coach management and operational staff on new standards, accreditation requirements and procedures.
  • Review data from environmental plan in relation to alignment of GMP and GMP policies as required.
