Fantastic opportunity to join NBI as an ERP Project Manager

NATIONAL BROADBAND IRELAND (NBI) will be the designer, builder and operator of the ultrafast broadband network for rural Ireland. It was established by Granahan McCourt (GMC), an international investor in technology, media and telecommunications with 30 years of experience partnering with governments, corporations and people to drive development of communications infrastructure.

NBI has presented its vision for world-class, gigabit-speed broadband for every home, farm, school and business in areas of the country which are not fully served by commercial operators (the "Intervention Area"). National Broadband Ireland will supply broadband to the one quarter of Irish people and premises which currently cannot access high-speed broadband through commercial services. It guarantees a level playing field for 1.1 million people, 540,000 premises including 100,000 businesses and farms, and over 600 schools.

NBI are looking for an experienced ERP Project Manager to join their business. This role will take responsiblity for leading and directing application vendors to deliver a high-quality product or service within a defined schedule, budget, quality and scope. This is managing the implementation of a ERP software application.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for all Project Management Office domains: Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Change, HR, Communication, Risk and mitigations
  • You will be responsible for Vendor Management
  • You will deliver defined project outcomes on time, within budget and with a high level of quality
  • You will key in developing the project's Scope of Work, and is accountable for building and maintaining an ongoing Project Management Plan
  • You will build and manage an effective and engaged multi-disciplinary project team to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • You will be responsible for the management of project resources (sub-contractors), ensuring that budget and scheduling constraints are adhered to.
  • You will align project with overall program policies, roadmap, constraints and plans.
  • Prioritize tasks and resolves issues/conflicts/escalations.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 8 years of experience in project management domain, with at least 6 years hands of experience in leading at software deployment projects, preferably SaaS based.
  • Experience in the relevant domain and general knowledge in relevant areas such as SDLC, delivery, testing, etc.
  • Managerial experience
  • In-depth applied knowledge of standard program/project management concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Excellent ambassador for NBI, promoting the organisation and role modelling NBI's values.
  • Telecoms know beneficial not necessary.
