Production Manager - Medical Device
This South East based business has been a cornerstone for Medical Device production in Ireland for over a decade and offer a unique opportunity for career growth within the Medical Device industry.
The role requires a strong production manager with a knowledge and experience of Lean Manufacturing methods and tools along with good problem solving skills. Excellent team working and communication skills are essential
In the role you will be expected to:
Manage compliance to procedure among the manufacturing team.
Ensure the long and short-range planning of production schedules are achieved according to the plan and co-ordinate production activities to ensure proper execution of the plan
Lead the safe operation of the shift and facilitate team of production operators to ensure timely completion of all process activities according to cGMP's
Develop, manage and review appropriate metrics to highlight and understand issues as they arise.
Review change control and manufacturing deviation activities for appropriateness.
Execute training and development plans for the supervisors and team leader groups.
Review training versatility requirements for the manufacturing team and manage appropriately to meet future demand plans
Mentor, develop and motivate Supervisors and Team Leaders to achieve targets / metrics for their respective areas.
As a successful candidate for the job you will have:
Education: Diploma level or equivalent, ideally B.Sc. in a related discipline.
3 - 5 years Operations Leadership experience
Familiar with Continuous Improvement, Lean Production and Six Sigma concepts
An ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and goal driven production environment
