Procurement Specialist required for a progressive and expanding technology company, based in Co. Wicklow

This company is in rapidly growing industry and they are looking for people with a passion for procurement and who value their own growth and have an appetite for challenge and change.

This Procurement Specialist role is a new role to the company and will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

This successful candidate will be required to develop and execute new and improved procurement strategies across all channels of purchasing.

  • Implement policies and procedures for collecting and reporting key metrics that will reduce our overall procurement costs.
  • Create policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation
  • Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications required
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
  • Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
  • Create and maintain good relationships with suppliers/vendors
  • Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery lead times, and pricing schedules
  • Negotiate the best deals for pricing and supply contracts

The procurement specialist should have a minimum of 3 years' procurement experience and be comfortable interacting positively with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
