This is an wonderful opportunity to work with one of the world's leading brands. The purpose of this role is to provide Process Automation Support in the form of Software design and commissioning as well as general Engineering support in the form of problem solving with respect to equipment failure or process improvement. Our client is looking for an effective communicator with capability to establish a strong collaborative way of working across the business to generate winning solutions.

 

The role will support both operational activities and Capital project execution in order to effectively meet the needs of an expanding, rapidly changing and competitive market.

 

The Knowledge, Skills and Experience required are:

 

  • A third level degree qualification (preferably in Industrial Engineering) with at least 5-10 years' experience in an engineering role with exposure to numerous fields of engineering [Process, Electrical, Software, Standards]

 

  • 5+ years' experience with software development in Rockwell RSLogix5, RSLogix500 & RSLogix5000.

 

  • 3+ years' experience with SCADA software development in Rockwell FactoryTalk Studio and Wonderware InTouch.

 

  • Familiarity with the Wonderware INSQL Data historian and experience with SQL software development.

 

  • Experience with Visual Basic (VBA or VB.Net).

 

  • Very strong Microsoft Application capabilities (especially data analysis and presentation using MS Excel)

Be self-motivated, creative and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build networks at all levels and across internal and external cross-functional teams. If you are highly organised with a strong forward planning skill set and ability to be reactive when required then this could be the role for you.

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate that they can operate autonomously and collaboratively with precision, ownership and flair in an environment where a number of related activities are being undertaken. Be highly analytical with effective planning, organisational, presentation and strategic skills to perform in a demanding environment.
