Experienced Business Analyst for OE available in NBI
NATIONAL BROADBAND IRELAND (NBI) will be the designer, builder and operator of the ultrafast broadband network for rural Ireland. It was established by Granahan McCourt (GMC), an international investor in technology, media and telecommunications with 30 years of experience partnering with governments, corporations and people to drive development of communications infrastructure.
NBI has presented its vision for world-class, gigabit-speed broadband for every home, farm, school and business in areas of the country which are not fully served by commercial operators (the "Intervention Area"). National Broadband Ireland will supply broadband to the one quarter of Irish people and premises which currently cannot access high-speed broadband through commercial services. It guarantees a level playing field for 1.1 million people, 540,000 premises including 100,000 businesses and farms, and over 600 schools.
NBI are looking for an experienced Business Analyst - Operating Model to join their business.
The Operating Model is HOW a business functions, including what capabilities - the processes, data, people and systems it has to keep itself running - which need to be applied at the right time (WHEN) and in the right place, in different locations (WHERE). It is how the business is being run.
Understanding the Operating Model and working practices requires an understanding of the processes, people and IT systems. The Business Analyst - Operating Model / Process Engineering, will collate how NBI should be supported by its employees and its organisational structure to deliver and execute the organisations strategy.
The key objective is to analyse and document work flow processes within and across the build and commercial entities to determine how certain parts of the company can work better together, specifically the build entity of NBI, the skills involved require an understanding of these areas and good communication between management and department heads to gain consensus, an agreed approach for rolling out and a knowledge of who needs to be involved to make it happen.
