International Accounts Payable & Payroll Manager

Outstanding opportunity has become available in Limerick for an International Accounts Payable & Payroll Manager to join a leading Multinational based in the Mid-West.

The International Accounts Payable & Payroll Manager will be working with the global accounting, accounts payable, payroll and HR teams to correctly and accurately process accounts payable and payroll transactions, expense reporting, and payment related systems and processes for our global operations; including the preparation of account and payment reconciliations. This position will report to our Finance Manager, Ireland.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Payroll

  • Monitor and adhere to the payroll calendar established with the international payroll providers.
  • Review and validate the payroll reports from providers and ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Process payroll related entries into Great Plains accounting system once approved.
  • Assist in the preparation and performance of weekly, monthly and/or quarterly reconciliations.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures related to payroll and accounts payable functions.
  • Support global projects.

Accounts Payables

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices including, the three-way match of the invoices, purchase orders and goods receipt in the Great Plains accounting system.
  • Process Accounts Payable transactions for the Company's International entities.
  • Ensure all vendor invoices and employee expense reports comply with VAT and other compliance requirements and company policies.
  • Prepare "paperless" files of invoices and payment information.
  • Review and process expense reports using the Concur expense report portal.
  • Preparation and review of electronic funds transfers ("EFT"), wire transfers.
  • Assist in the preparation and performance of weekly, monthly and/or quarterly reconciliations.
  • Assist in documenting business processes, participate in continuous process improvements.
  • Vendor and employee setup in Great Plains and Concur Expense system.
  • Be an Integral team member for year-end financial activities, including physical inventories and related reporting.
  • Other special projects and accounts reconciliations as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • 5+ to 7 years of experience in accounting, payroll and/or accounts payables preferred.
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills are required.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Word and Adobe.
  • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains preferred.
  • International business and foreign currency experience helpful.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Proven ability to effectively work in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively prioritize and organize work.
  • Willingness to implement and embrace technology and technological changes.
  • Ability to work as both an individual contributor, part of a team or an ad-hoc group.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable and self-motivated.
