Head of Regulatory Reporting - Capital Markets

In this role you will be responsible for meeting regulatory requirements when sharing transactional data with Regulators and you will need to understand the importance of data quality and lineage. This role will appeal to an individual who is comfortable taking ownership of complex and challenging initiatives, demonstrating an aptitude for being forward thinking and innovative. In this role, you will be responsible for working within a team which manages the Transaction Reporting for the Bank on a worldwide basis with a focus on MIFID 2 and EMIR compliance.

This role will require an individual with deep knowledge of MIFID 2 and EMIR Reporting requirements and who understands the technology platforms that are used for reporting. Transaction reporting continues to evolve with expansions in requirements throughout the world and the individual will require the ability to understand and stay abreast of the changing regulatory landscape and alter processes as required in this dynamic regulatory environment.

The individual will require the ability to analyze reporting trends and issues and be able to clearly articulate any deviation, manage all operational / business risks and provide recommendations to our business partners in Sales and Trading, Compliance and Legal. The role is critically important to escalating and managing issues with Trade Reporting, so that these can be addressed immediately and across the Banks Global footprint.

Duties

  • Strong business knowledge, of our ever-evolving regulatory requirements in transaction reporting. Keeping abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts.
  • Ability to manage transaction reporting processes, identify and recommend process improvements and/or automation opportunities to enhance the productivity and operational efficiency of the team.
  • Strong understanding of operational risk management to effectively identify issues and dependencies and escalate significant items to Compliance and business partners.
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to develop and interact effectively with all levels of management throughout the Bank and compliance, operations and technology partners.
  • Provide ongoing support to the team by monitoring and developing your knowledgeable on emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts to the Bank
  • Demonstrate the Framework and shared commitments in daily activities.

Experience required;

  • Relevant work experience in Transaction Reporting, Regulatory Reporting and Compliance
  • 5+ Years of experience in Transaction Reporting to regulators
  • Proven ability to transform data into meaningful information and value-added analysis
  • Ability to develop appropriate escalation processes based on data from systems
  • Experience in developing approaches to test and assess automated reporting systems.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and the ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide leadership and guidance
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills including demonstrated influencing, conflict management and negotiation skills
