Head of International Tax -Technology

Morgan McKinley have been exclusively retained to support a new entrant to the Irish market as they build operations in Dublin. This well-established, U.S HQ Technology Company, are recruiting a Head of International Tax for the core leadership team.

This will be the first tax recruit for the company (globally) and will be responsible for the management of the company's global tax requirements and the implementation of structure and strategy.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone who has a can-do attitude, is an independent thinker, and can adapt to changes quickly in a growing startup environment. You like to figure things out and know how to put things in order. You certainly don't believe in rounding up or down for convenience. You're the type of person who can mentally split a restaurant bill for twenty in mere seconds, without breaking a sweat and you'd rather read a good spreadsheet than a novel. You will be joining a team of dedicated individuals who are passionate about numbers, working to eliminate the inefficiencies surrounding the manual processes. This position will mainly support the New York and London office but will also have the opportunity to work with the finance teams in other countries on a regular basis.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage tax requirements in a multi-national environment. (Currently 4 European and 1 U.S entity)
  • Manage transfer pricing strategy
  • Calculate quarterly transfer pricing entries and settlement between entities
  • Support the business operations as related to taxes
  • Support the tax reporting and external audit processes
  • Manage outside tax auditors
  • Assist with the implementation of new systems and documentation procedures to enhance processes surrounding taxes
  • Work on ad-hoc projects as assigned


  • Minimum 6 year's PQE with strong Transfer Pricing skills
  • Ideally Big 4/Top 10 trained with AITI/CTA/ACA/ACCA qualification
  • Experience working with a large international technology or SaaS company is preferred
  • Must be able to work effectively with colleagues from different countries and time zones via conference calls, emails, and instant text messages
  • Ability to work independently
  • Very strong organizational skills with attention to details
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated, professional and hard working
