Excellent opportunity for an experienced & ambitious Financial Controller to join one growing company based in Dublin South

Responsibilities:

  • Taking ownership of all aspects of financial and management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial control
  • Organisation and accounting structure
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts & forecasts
  • Preparation of reports, business cases, scenario analysis for the Regulator
  • Year-end statutory accounts, preparation and meeting statutory auditor requirements, maintaining close liaison with Auditors to ensure the timely execution of statutory audits
  • Project accounting and analysis
  • Preparation of commercial business plans
  • Ensuring a strong commercial focus throughout business activities
  • Process improvements & internal controls
  • Ensure all financial internal checks, controls, systems and procedures are up-to-date and fully implemented to high standards and that regular internal audits take place to verify compliance
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Ensure month-end and year-end close, feed seamlessly into auditing process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Develop, document and implement business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Supporting, and providing administration, financial advice and analysis to the Boards' Audit & Risk Committee
  • Systems development and implementation (currently using ABM and Excel for accounts looking to implement a new fully integrated system)
  • Financial / commercial lead at Board meetings, management meetings and at meetings with the Regulator, cementing strong professional and business-like relationships through regular communication and proactive engagement

Skills & Qualification:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA) with minimum 3 years PQE
  • Strong technical accounting, analysis and reporting skills
  • Possess good IT skills, (systems implementation experience would be beneficial)
  • Strong inter-personal & communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently and professionally at all levels
