Financial accountant role with County Limerick based organisation

Main Responsibilities

· Maintain general ledger accounts for the production of financial statements and reports

· Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month/year end close

· Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register

· Preparation of general journals, accruals, prepayments and expenses

· Variance analysis, i.e. monthly budget vs. actual reporting with commentaries

· Bank reconciliations

· Preparation of VAT/RDT/RCT and P30 returns

· Responsibility for internal and external audits

· Participate in and provide support in company projects where required

· Assist in the development of both financial and operational reports

· Assist in the preparation of the annual budget process and (re) forecasting process

· Other duties as assigned

The Person

· Part or fully qualified with recognised professional body

· 2-5 years accounts experience

· Knowledge and understanding of ERP systems

· Advanced Excel

· Excellent communication skills
