We are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Manager capable of leading multiple teams and departments.
My client is a pharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of therapies for the treatment of patients worldwide. They are embarking on some very positive growth due to market demand, acquisition and organic growth. This is an incredibly exciting time to join this company. They are seeking a confident and established Engineering Manager to lead an already thriving engineering team to support the commercialisation of this new and exciting facility as it aspires to be a high performing sterile drug product manufacturing site.
The successful candidate will be expected to have 8 years+ experience in a high volume manufacturing organisation with at least 3+ years maintenance/facilities leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. An ability to manage technical resources including technicians and contract resources while leading the site's Maintenance Steering Group is also required.
Reporting to the Operations Director they will be responsible for a number of key engineering areas across maintenance, pharmaceutical utility equipment, facilities, HVAC, Automation and EHS systems. The Engineering Manager will also play a key role as a member of the site's management team where they will lead the development for the new site to ensure maintenance processes deliver excellence in asset care performance Lead the design, introduction and management of site maintenance systems such as CMMS, spares, safety permitting for Technical Services and Manufacturing maintenance personnel.
The Education Requirement:
Engineering Degree in Building Services/Mechanical/Electrical/Automation or equivalent technical certification/trade in a business service, mechanical, electrical or related field.
The Travel involved:
The role will typically require infrequent, off site national and international travel, for business or equipment/project review meetings, including overnight stays, up to 10% of the time.
