Our Clients are located a little less than 15 minutes outside of Cork City and are recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Manager for their Production facility. This is a new role for the organisation and this comes at a very exciting time on site.

The role will have functional oversight and implementation of their Operating System and Continuous Improvement (CI) programme, working with Divisional and Group CI resource, to develop strategies and initiatives related to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing, in order to improve the organisation's efficiency and profitability.

Skills and experience

Essential

  • Substantial experience of continuous improvement approaches (e.g. six sigma, lean six sigma, lean manufacturing)
  • Demonstrable track record of leading successful delivery of specific continuous improvement projects
  • Demonstrable track record of leading large-scale CI programmes, including influencing organisations
  • Computer literacy, Excel, Word and PowerPoint to at least intermediate level

Desirable

  • University degree (Bachelor's level)
  • Significant experience of CI in a global business
  • Experience/training in CI approaches obtained in organisations with strong CI culture (e.g. Japanese auto company, Japan generally)
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Evidence of ability to deliver successful & impactful training
  • Teaching, Training or Adult learning qualification
