Key activities and workload

    • 80% workload on:

    • Consolidate MBU insights (exec level) for topics below #2, 3, 4, 5, 6 - monthly (10%)
    • Backlog risk mgmt related Delivery mgmt. incl. on hold, leakages - weekly (20%)
    • Project financials in virtuoso: revenue/cost/forecast accuracy - weekly (20%)
    • Status report/PFW submission - weekly (20%)
    • Invoicing aged unbilled and other inefficiencies - monthly (10%)

    • 20% for escalations/focus work

E.g. deep dive on troubled projects like analysis in support of the PJMs, etc

Coordination in peer with GSO -> propose continuous improvement areas

The Client's Services EMEA Data & AI delivery domain is responsible for delivery of consulting engagements in this technical delivery area.

In addition to delivery they are responsible for delivery and revenue forecasting, Monthly Business Update (MBU) preparation and attendance, backlog management and ensuring the domain project managers have accurate financials reporting in pace for their projects.

The domain is seeking a person who can assist in reviewing and reporting on these key areas at a portfolio level. In addition to analyzing output, identifying priority 'issues' requiring management or PjM support to fix, and working on complex escalations the person will consolidate this information as input into the Monthly Business updates.

GSO organization provides operational support (billing, supplier management, complex issue resolution) to this team and this person would work closely with this GSO team - hence the request to have this person based in Dublin near the GSO team.

There is both a weekly and monthly rhythm to the role. Providing insights and preparing for executive level MBUs is a monthly rhythm, however many of the other activities are weekly in nature:

1 - Consolidate MBU insights (exec level) for topics below #2, 3, 4, 5, 6 - monthly (10%)

2 - Backlog risk mgmt related Delivery mgmt. incl. on hold, leakages - weekly (20%)

3- Project financials in virtuoso (tool Project managers use to submit project delivery & financial forecasts and report status): revenue/ cost/ forecast accuracy - weekly (20%)

4 - Status report/PFW (Project Financial Workbook) submission - weekly (20%)

5 -Invoicing aged unbilled and other inefficiencies - monthly (10%)

Escalations will be adhoc in nature (deep dive troubled proejcts) however there will be time available to identify and work on continuous improvement areas.

There will be remote interaction with direct manager (discussions ongoing as to whether or not manger may be Dublin based), domain project managers and management team however this person engage in-person with the Dublin based support team.

There is flexibility regarding working from home for some days a week. There is a chance for extension - the request is up to September 2020 at least.

This role is a chance for someone to get exposure to and knowledge of business drivers and management of client's Consulting Service. It is an EMEA level role so there is interactions and collaboration with a wide group of stakeholders across different countries and functions within the Services delivery domain.

The role offers the successful individual the opportunity to learn in detail about portfolio financial drivers, get exposure to BI and the opportunity to work with domain leadership. They will get experience in complex portfolio management and project portfolio financial management at an EMEA level in a complex environment.

  • The person will also get the opportunity to engage with senior stakeholders within this domain.
  • Senior profile required; 3-7 years experience (though some flexibility her depending on candidate)
  • Degree or certificate in business, project financials, etc.
  • Consulting knowledge is a plus.
  • Fluent written and spoken English. All communications, reporting, call preparation, etc. is in English.
