Business Analyst

Key responsibilities:

  • Implement and develop detailed strategy requirements specifications documentation for the implementation or revision of systems or applications, reviewing and analysing data requirements
  • Provide clear and consistent status reporting on solutions and progress to all key partners on multiple platforms and levels within the organization. Translate operation requirements and mission needs into technical terminology and specifications
  • Work with both QA and Development managers on coordinating testing and development
  • Work collaboratively with team members to design a solution that will meet a client's business requirements and fulfil user stories. As well as to establish and maintain professional and open relations with Clients parties
  • Work with clients and end users to gather, understand, and define business requirements. Collaborating with developers to test and to verify that solutions will meet the business requirements
  • Support development of governance mission and vision statements. Ensuring acceptance of desired changes into the production environment, identifying problems, and documenting lessons learned, including any corrective or preventive actions
  • Perform risk management processes through performing trade studies, assessing trades between functionality and security risk management. Will be responsible to develop, apply, and validate operational metrics and performance risk assessments
  • Develop process improvement recommendations and facilitates quality improvement efforts, providing assessment and recommendations of new policy or changes
  • Participate in key meetings with clients including requirement sessions, system demos, user acceptance testing, and end user training

Minimum requirements:

  • Degree with a strong Business/ Engineering base
  • 5-6 years of equivalent experience within related fields
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills and can engage with customer/ internal managers
  • Strong analysis, problem resolution skills, use case definition
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and partners simultaneously
  • Proven ability leveraging analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks within a collaborative team environment
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly ramp up on new clients, their business needs, and technologies
  • Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Proficient in Google Docs

Desirable:

  • Experience documenting user stories, creating to-be process flow diagrams and internal/external requirements documents
  • Previous exposure in collaborating with business stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success in working with technical development teams, especially around designing, developing and testing
  • Demonstrated success in working with clients in achieving their requirements
  • System application administration knowledge (user management, change management) will be a plus
  • Ability to structure and conduct client/internal interviews to gather requirements
