Director of Quality, Cork based, Leading global manufacturing company
This is a well-known, highly regulated manufacturing company with multiple sites globally. They are embarking on some very positive growth due to demand in the medical device sector, new product introduction and organic growth. In line with a recent restructure they are seeking a confident and ambitious Quality Director to join the compelling leadership team to manage the quality team and function with the ambition to meet and exceed expectations. You will lead from the front for Quality on all strategic plans and initiatives. This role is based in Cork and would suit candidates commuting from Limerick or Tipperary also.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience, along with a proven positive track record leading a quality function within a large manufacturing company. You will be the first point of contact for site regulatory, compliance and quality. You will be confident to take overall responsibility for all regulatory standards including GMP, FDA, and ISO13485. This position is an instrumental leading role within the organisation to ensure the Cork site is moving from strength to strength from a quality and regulatory perspective. Previous experience working in a Medical Device manufacturing plant is required. You will be comfortable to lead, mentor and guide teams to ensure a strong team culture. You will educate senior leadership through quality to influence future plans and initiatives to build on the positive culture existing towards Quality.
The successful candidate will have a positive career in quality, in a highly regulated manufacturing environment; to include medical device. Pharmaceutical and manufacturing is also considered. You will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a leading and influential role responsible for a large Quality function in a manufacturing facility. You will have a proven track record managing relationships both internally and externally to lead and inspire a one goal vision. As the Quality Directory you will be accountable for the quality team performance metrics that support the annual operating plan and production objectives. You will have a genuine passion to continuously drive process improvement and an operational excellence culture throughout the organisation specifically in Quality. Lastly, you will be a forward thinking leader who wants to embed yourself long term in a progressive organisation and be at the forefront to impact long term visions and goals.
