I recruit for accounting & finance temporary & contract roles across the Cork and Kerry regions.
Contracts can often be perceived as the riskier option over permanent. My advice to anyone with concerns about the security of a contract is to go into the role treating it just as a probation period. By doing an excellent job and proving your ability and worth you will make a strong case to be kept on as you become indispensable to the role/company. If there isn't an opportunity to be kept on the role could still give you exposure to new systems or industries which could lead to greater opportunities in your future career.
I joined Morgan McKinley's Cork office in early 2012 recruiting for transactional and part-qualified permanent accounting roles across Cork and Kerry.
As of 2019 I manage the Finance General Recruitment Team where we look after the recruitment of qualified, part-qualified & transactional professionals on a permanent, temporary & contract basis. I hold a Bachelor of Business in Accounting & Finance from the University of Limerick and a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management from University College Cork. Aside from work, I'm an avid Munster rugby (biased) fan, keen baker & a very proud Limerick woman.
