Putting together a CV whilst in the middle of busy season is likely to be low on your list of priorities at the minute & we totally understand!

Morgan McKinley have worked with professionals throughout their careers in assisting in the preparation, design & review of their CV’s & templates. The important thing in a CV is that it is not a “one size fit all” approach & should be seen as a workable document that you can add to & tweak as your career grows.

We appreciate it’s not easy to translate 3.5 years’ experience into relatable bullet points so we have put together two CV templates which will give you a workable document to help you prepare your CV.

These templates are designed to suit those of you who have already or are currently qualifying through the Big 4 with specific Audit, Tax, or Advisory experience & those of you who have already or are coming from ACA practices where your experience is likely that bit more varied. Before even starting to write your CV, you should consider:

  • What makes your experience stand-out? 1st time passes, leading audits, working with ERP systems, project work etc.
  • What terminology you use when describing your experience. Try not to use company specific language, keep it more general & transferable
  • Your interests & achievements-fit is more important than ever so while it’s hard to get your personality across on paper, having some interests will allow the potential employer establish some common ground!
