The sky’s the limit when you have the rocket of education

Morgan McKinley proudly announces sponsorship of DCU’s Access Scholarship Programme.

Morgan McKinley’s stated purpose is “Improving Lives”.  Improving the lives of our candidates, clients and our people. On the worldwide day of love – Valentine’s Day – and through our MMK Million CSR programme, Morgan McKinley’s 800-strong global workforce are pledging their 2018 personal commitments to improving the lives of those who are less well off.  Their commitments ranged from running a large corporate quiz, to bake sales, to running marathons or taking up the two volunteering days which MMK offer each of their employees every year to spend time in the community.

To match the amazing personal commitment of our people to Improving Lives the Board at Morgan McKinley is delighted to announce a partnership with DCU to support its Access Scholarship Programme which will ensure that an education will be attainable to a student from a disadvantaged socio-economic background.  This was Ireland’s first university Access programme launched 28 years ago. Today, it is the largest and most successful programme of its kind in Ireland with over 1,300 Access students currently enrolled at DCU.

We are delighted to partner with an organisation like Morgan McKinley that shares our belief in the power of higher education to transform lives. The DCU Access Programme is a critical support in enabling young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to progress to higher education and to avail of all the possibilities which it can open up in their lives. Without the support of companies like Morgan McKinley, we would be unable to continue to offer life-changing scholarships to our Access students.”

There are so many fantastic stories from Access students on the DCU website and here we share Emma’s story (pictured) and a video blog from Ray another Access Student whose stated mission is to win The Nobel Peace Prize.

The sky is the limit and education is the rocket that gets you there!
