Last week, I attended the UCD Supply Chain Careers Fair at the Michael Smurfit Graduate school of Business, along with my colleague Ian Murphy on the Morgan McKinley Supply Chain team.
It was a great event, with a great turn out of graduates and students completing the MSc. in Supply Chain Management.
The event was also attended by some excellent companies who are always on the lookout for top talent such as Dawn Meats, Depuy, Fónua, Lidl, Kerry Group, Verizon, Bord na Móna, Perrigo and many more.
Ian and I were at hand to offer graduates and students career advice, CV guidance and to discuss current opportunities in the Supply Chain market. Each year the level of interest in Supply Chain as a career path is growing and it was great to see the eagerness and determination from both graduates and students.
The course has been up and running since 2003, and it has been a great success for students and for Smurfit alike, it offers both a solid academic grounding in the concepts and practices of Supply Chain Management. It is a widely recognised course and it is one of the best Supply Chain Masters qualifications in the country.
We would like to thank Donna Marshall, Head Supply Chain Lecturer in Smurfit Business School and all other Smurfit staff for inviting us to this highly successful event, and we’re already looking forward to returning in 2018.
