In this Q3 Review, we will be looking at; an overview of the marketing jobs market in general, the most frequent roles placed across the country, the highest paying roles our specialists have placed and some workplace insights surrounding flexibility, workplace wellness and workplace benefits.
From the last quarter we can see that marketing functions in larger Irish companies are expanding - taking in more brand related, digital and analytical roles. There has also been an increased confidence in the jobs market with smaller companies increasingly seeing the value in marketing as a function and therefore investing into new first time hires. The number of brand related roles has increased significantly within the FMCG sector, as well as the number of communications roles all round across the various sectors.
In terms of job announcements, SaaS based e-learning company Dulann has announced that it will take on 32 new hires, with marketing being one of the areas they are seeking professionals for.

Flexibility
Stand alone marketing roles for smaller companies are more susceptible to allowing flexible working hours. The bigger, more established companies are also beginning to allow some flexitime. Around flexibility, the main trends emerging and becoming commonplace include core hours, late starts, early finishes and working from home.

Workplace wellness initiatives which are gradually becoming the norm among marketing professionals include healthcare cover, health and wellbeing initiatives, health screenings, yoga classes and complimentary gym membership.
