A turnaround for Cork marketing jobs

Morgan McKinley 13.04.2012

Although Cork marketeers were initially hit hard by the recession, things are finally turning around. Tightening budgets usually involved cutting marketing spend and in some cases this resulted in redundancies so the only marketing roles tended to be in Dublin or outside of Ireland. Thankfully, this is now changing.

More and more employers are now seeing the value and importance of marketing and this has resulted in a huge shift in the marketing jobs, not only in Cork but in all regional areas.

Up to now there has been a distinction between marketing and online marketing roles but now the two are being amalgamated as marketing is shifting towards a predominately online arena. Although the FMCG market has remained fairly static, the number of online marketing vacancies is growing at a steady rate. Online marketing is becoming increasingly important and companies do not want to be left behind.
We are currently recruiting for a number of online marketing jobs so whether you’d like to discuss one of these roles or if you’d like to talk about your careers options please feel free to give our marketing team a call.
