End2End Supply Chain Conference 2015

Darragh McCarthy 14.10.2015

For the third year in a row, we were delighted to once again attend the End2End Supply Chain Conference in the Ballsbridge Hotel last week.

This year we were delighted to be a named supporter of the event along with our friends and colleagues from the IIPMM, CILT and Amarach Research.

End2End Supply Chain Conference 2015

The conference was attended by over 50 companies with over 200 Supply Chain professionals attending. This once again was up on last year’s numbers as the conference continues to grow year on year. The list of companies who sponsored the event included some of the best that Ireland’s Supply Chain industry has to offer including J&J, Flex, Microsoft, Musgrave, Arvato, DSV, Nightline, Moduslink and Vision ID.

There was a noticeable energy about the place and the positivity and energy on display are a testament to how the market in Ireland has changed over the past 3 years. The day was introduced from the stage and hosted thereafter by Lorcan Sheehan, or as he is now known, the Ryan Tubridy of Supply Chain, Ireland!

A range of interesting topics were covered throughout the day with great presentations from Luke Hanlon of Musgraves, Fergus Rigley of Microsoft, Catherine Healy of J&J/DePuy and John Carr of Flex in particular. Despite the number of Supply Chain topics covered which included a range themes, the one which surfaced again and again was the shortage of talent in the supply chain market. A panel discussion which addressed “Is Supply Chain facing a talent crisis?” took the floor in the afternoon and it’s fair to say this conversation probably still hasn’t stopped!

We know ourselves at Morgan McKinley that specialised supply chain and procurement talent is in huge demand and companies are again competing to find and retain the very best talent. As Luke Hanlon from Musgraves said in his presentation, “…a best in class Supply Chain is an enabler of business growth…and in the future is a source of competitive advantage”.

If you would like to find the very best in supply chain talent, or if you would like to explore your own options in this booming market, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the Supply Chain team at Morgan McKinley today.

We would again like to thank everyone who took the time to make the event such a great day, especially the team at Event Strategies, and we look forward to attending again next year, on what has become a stand out annual event in the Supply Chain calendar.
