Creating the Right Impressions At Work

It's always important to create and maintain a good impression whether it's your first day in a new job or you have been working in a company for a number of years.

Here are a few pointers for you –

Use proper office etiquette

Always remember to use good manners when at work. Treat your fellow colleagues with respects and always say Please and Thank you! Treat people how you would like to be treated yourself. Know when and where you can use your mobile – always turn off or have on silent. There is nothing worse than hearing someone’s phone beeping or playing an annoying tune over and over again.

Manage your time effectively

Been able to manage and complete tasks or projects in the defined time frame will make an excellent impression to your boss and colleagues.

Dress appropriately

 Always make a good impression on your first day at work. Always wear a suit or be smart. This shows that you not only take pride in your appearance but you will feel more confident always. This should be continued throughout your working career

Represent your company well at client meetings

When you are representing your company outside of the work place you are not only representing the organisation you are representing you. Make sure you dress well, network with other businesses and always bring back information.
