Morgan McKinley attended a Careers Fair in Novartis, this was our experience...
Earlier this year workers at the Novartis Ringaskiddy campus, which comprises of both an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient manufacturing unit and a Global Service Centre involved in procurement and external supplier operations were informed that there would be 320 redundancies. This came as quite a shock to many and put them in the unfortunate situation of looking at new career opportunities in Cork.
Morgan McKinley came on site to meet with the first round of employees due to be made redundant in early 2020, the main sectors due to be moving on first are primarily in supply chain, life science and engineering, so we had consultants from each of these divisions who specialise in these particular markets on site to have one to one conversations and offer career advice.
While it is not an ideal situation for the employees in Novartis we were there to offer support on CV layouts, job hunting and the benefits of working with Morgan McKinley and the open opportunities we have available to them.
We would sincerely like to thank Donal O Sullivan and John Stoker for welcoming us onsite and introducing us to the candidates first affected by the redundancies, it was great for us to meet such talented professionals that will be coming onto the market early next year and we are confident of assisting them in their next move in their careers.
In our Morgan McKinley Cork office alone, we have over 50 consultants specialised in areas such as Supply Chain, Engineering, Science, HR, IT, Finance, and other specialised sectors. Please see open roles here
