Morgan McKinley were delighted to partner up with IDD Consulting and UCC in hosting a very successful Breakfast Briefing around “Advancing the Voice of Procurement” in the Clarion Hotel in Cork on Wednesday.
Sylvia Kiely, Head of Supply Chain for Novartis kicked off the morning talking to a packed room about the importance of training and development of procurement professionals and what is expected from procurement professionals.
This led straight into Dr. David McKevitt, who is a Lecturer in UCC and spoke to us about the opportunities and challenges of the inaugural level 8 (NQF) Certificate Award in Procurement Management. This outstanding new course has been designed for those individuals who seek to deliver concrete, sustainable results through effective procurement management.
Finally, Ingrid De Doncker, CEO of IDD Consulting put some things into perspective, as she addressed a room of approximately 60 professionals with some very interesting statistics with the Top 5 highlights from The Buyer-Seller Value Index 2016 chosen by Morgan McKinley.
Thank you sincerely from all in Morgan McKinley to all of the speakers and everyone who showed up at 7am, we were thrilled to see some new and also familiar faces at the event.
The open day for the Inaugural level 8 (NQF) Certificate Award in Procurement Management by University College Cork, Ireland (UCC) will be held this Saturday from 10am until 12:45pm in the Boole Library UCC and we hope to see some of you there.
