ACA qualified? Ever considered a career in Australia?

Figures from Tourism Australia reveal that in the 12 months ending on 31 January 2011, the number of Irish nationals that were granted a visa to work in Australia jumped by 30% compared to the same period in 2009/10. Our colleagues in Morgan McKinley's Sydney office have also noticed an increase in demand for accountants, particularly in the areas of banking and commerce.

This sparked our Accountancy & Finance recruitment team here in Dublin to run an open evening for newly-qualified and experienced accountants interested in relocating to Sydney. It was a great success!

The guest speaker for the evening was Morgan McKinley’s Asia Pacific CEO, Steve Carter. His presentation is available below if you are interested in finding out more about the following topics:

  • The hiring market in Australia and the overall economy
  • Our key Australian clients and what skills are currently in demandT
  • The process of moving to Australia, including visas, help finding work and setting yourself up
  • Case studies of other newly qualified accountants from the Big Four who have made the move.
  • How Morgan McKinley can help you with your relocation/working holiday
