Aircraft leasing - A Buoyant job market

Niall Harris 03.10.2017

Continued increase in the number of finance jobs within the aircraft leasing sector.

Aircraft leasing has become one of the most prevalent and discussed industries in Ireland today, with lease operators based in Ireland accounting for over 21% (€7.8bn) of sales revenues globally. A strong September has given us a promising insight into what to expect for the rest of the year in the area of recruitment.

Heading into Q4, we are seeing a notable increase in the number of jobs in the aircraft leasing sector particularly within Accounting and Finance. The market has become increasingly buoyant over the last number of months with different variations of Financial Accounting and Financial Analyst roles coming to the forefront. The majority of these roles have generous bonus and benefits schemes attached, with salaries typically paying above the average market rate.

Aircraft leasing is one of the most rapidly expanding industries in Ireland today, particularly in the Mid-West region with a strong collection of lessors located in close proximity to Shannon Airport. As global air travel demand continues to increase by an average of 5% per year, we predict a continued increase in the number of open positions in the aircraft leasing sector for the coming year.

As market leaders in accountancy and finance within the aviation sector, Morgan McKinley currently have a number of open roles, as well as a pool of high calibre candidates who are actively seeking new careers. If you are a potential candidate or client looking for more information on any of the above, please feel free to contact me.
