The European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is designed to protect individuals' personal data. It has new requirements for data collection and processing that in some cases include hiring dedicated data protection specialists to safeguard personal information for employees and professional job seekers. Those requirements must be met by the looming deadline of May 2018.
