2010 Group Salary Guide
Since our 2009 Salary Guide the Irish employment market has clearly undergone significant changes and continues to experience very challenging economic conditions. In the midst of such uncertainty we have commissioned an “up to the minute” salary guide which we feel will be of significant benefit to both employers and job seekers alike.
Highlights
- The majority (70%) of managers across the finance, technical, office support and IT functions in Ireland expect basic salaries in their business to stay the same over the next twelve months, while just over a fifth (22%) think they will rise and only 8% fear they will fall
-Within the finance sector, nearly one third (30%) of employers said they expect basic salaries to increase over the next year
-Across technical functions, nearly a quarter (24%) of managers expect basic pay to increase in the next twelve months
-Only 18% of respondents anticipate salary increases for office support roles over the next year
-Managers in the IT sector were the least positive with 17% anticipating salaries rising by the same time next year
