NPD Technologist

Leading food manufacturing company with a well established reputation throughoutIreland, have an immediate opportunity for a New Product Development Technologist to join their expanding team.

Job Description

You will work closely with the NPD Manager and will be responsible for leading the development of new products from concept through to completion.

Roles/Responsibilities

This busy and challenging role will encompass but not be limited to:

• Development of new food products for the retail and foodservice sectors.
• Proposing new product ideas in response to trends and concerns.
• Development of these concepts/products in the pilot plant and up scaling of the developed products in the production plant.
• Following through the launch of new products
• Communicating with other functions throughout the organisation
• Liaising with Customers and Suppliers

Skills/Experience

To be considered for this position you must have a third level Degree in Food Science or related discipline and a minimum of 3 - 4 years NPD experience within the food industry. An excellent knowledge of raw materials, formulations and food safety, along with a strong business acumen are essential.
