Trainee Actuary Dublin

I am keen to speak with graduates from a mathematical, management science or actuarial degree background at 2.1 level and above.

The successful candidate with have the opportunity to join the actuarial study program which includes paid study leave, tutorials and the provision of course material which all be provided by my client, a leading Insurance organisation based in Dublin.

The Role:

The Trainee Scheme in place in this organisation will allow for practical on the job training while the successful person progresses through their professional exams.

The successful person will work in one of the actuarial teams in Pricing, Valuations, Operations or Systems.

The main duties / responsibilities associated with this role will include but are not limited to:

• Quarterly Reporting
• Pricing
• Policy calculations and projections
• Reinsurance
• Data Analysis and Investigations

The Person:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and knowledge:

• A degree in one of the following disciplines; Mathematics, Finance, Actuarial and/or Economics who have graduated at 2.1 level or above.
• Must have a strong customer service focus, with an ability to meet challenging deadlines
• Possess excellent communication skills and an ability to work within a team
• Good commercial awareness and problem solving skills
• Good PC skills with knowledge of Word, Excel and Access. Experience in Visual Basic would be an advantage
• Previous experience in a life or pensions office would also be an advantage
