EMEA Professional Services and Delivery Data Management Consultant-Data Architect
Home based with Travel
Description
As an EMEA PSD Data Management Consultant you will provide SAS consulting services, including solution development, implementation and closeout at customer sites. You will develop applications for internal use; design, implement, and present customer prototype; build applications development tools and oversee the technical progress of ongoing services.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- Implementing data integration and quality prototypes for use in sales situations and site visits.
- Developing and maintaining internal applications.
- Developing, testing, and implementing software applications for internal and external customers; taking direction from the technical lead or project manager as assigned.
- Reviewing and editing documentation for consulting projects, the Education Division and other divisions as needed.
- Providing reliable delivery of targeted project results through role as expert in the application of specific SAS methodologies, products and technologies.
- Assisting in scoping and defining work efforts, resource plans, and estimating cost on phases/projects.
- Participating in project requirements gathering.
- Preparing and presenting materials for site visits, project work, and training services.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or quantitative field; with
- 8 years of experience in a Data Management role i.e. data warehouse architect, developer and/or steward.
Equivalency
- Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience may be considered in place of the above requirements.
Additional
- Excellent working knowledge of at least one operating system.
- Excellent written and oral communication, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate with users with various technical backgrounds.
- Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Travel 60% or as business needs dictate.
Preferences
- Public speaking experience such as presenting papers or classroom teaching.
- Experience with SAS.
Certification as SAS Certified Base Programmer, SAS Certified Advanced Programmer or SAS Certified
