Database Warehouse Developer - Salary Negotiable

I am looking for a self-starting, creative and innovative DataWarehouse, Cube and ETLdeveloper. Based in Dublin.

An opportunity to work in an open, dynamic environment and collaborate closely with business users at all levels and have a key role in developing the next generation of data systems and structures.

Responsibilities

Including but are not limited to:

• Data Warehouse Development (Dimensional design of table structures, Stored Procedures, Index Handling )
• Developmentand Maintenance of ETL (SSIS) processes to load data into Data Warehouses and Marts
• Cube development for performance on key Data Warehouse and BI projects
• Development of SQL database performance enhancements
• Ensuring stability, integrity, accuracy, timeliness and usability of existing data resources.
• Collaboration with all stakeholders in establishing, refining, and documenting database and other functional requirements.
• Supporting the applications through their lifecycle of testing, deployment, operation, user training, maintenance, and enhancement.
• Using specialist knowledge to inform the team's technical decisions
• Ensuring compliance with relevant company standards and guidelines.
• Development and maintenance of tools and applications in appropriate technologies to best serve the business.
• Contributing to the corporate data management strategy
• Contributing to the review, selection, and adoption of proprietary and third party solutions.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
• Microsoft certification an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 3-5years' experiencedeveloping solutions in anMS SQLServer environment, including MS SQL Database Server,SSRS, SSAS and SSIS.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Strong Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 database design/development experience
• Strong Data Warehouse (SSAS) development and BI development using the Microsoft BI Stack
• Excellent T-SQL experience
• ETL skills through T-SQL (including dynamic SQL) and SSIS
• Experience dealing with large datasets and VLDB's
• Experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC would be advantageous
• Experience with any or all of (Netezza, Teradata, Greenplum, Vertica) Data Warehouse solutions would be advantageous
• Proven knowledge and understanding of good database administration principles.
• Scripting and automation experience a distinct advantage
• Excellent analytic, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid documentation skills.
• Development of SQL Server Reporting Services reports would be advantageous
